Edit ANY YouTube or Google Video with Searchles TV Remash

We've launched a new, awesomely exciting ONLINE VIDEO EDITING feature that finally gives you creative control over the endless supply of online video on YouTube and Google! It is still in Beta and needs a few more enhancements, but I think it is good enough for you to start playing around with. Our Searchles TV Remash feature allows you to EXTRACT CLIPS from ANY YOUTUBE OR GOOGLE VIDEO and stream the video clips back-to-back in one player. AAHHHH...I HEART ALL CAPS!!!

Have you ever wanted to just grab a 1-minute clip from that 5-minute dancing parrot video?? Maybe embed it in your website or myspace profile compiled with a series of other edited video clips that cut straight to footage you want? Well now you can do it....you can do it all night long. With Remash you can finally harness the creative potential of online video - all without requiring any downloads or costly video-editing software.

Editing YouTube videos with Remash is a quick, straightforward process. A smooth feature interface allows you to pull existing videos from your Searchles profile, to perform a search for relevant videos within the full Searchles video library, or to search externally through YouTube. You need only stay on one page to locate, edit, and mash-up the desired videos. Updates made to a Searchles Remash channel on-site - whether adding a video, further editing a video clip, or reordering the video content - will automatically syndicate across the web wherever you've embedded your Remash channel.

Remash is for YOU if you've ever wanted to...

• Easily create highlight reels for sports, home videos, movies or music videos

• Insert video clips of your own commentary into any YouTube video

• Showcase a political statement by editing and mashing-up video clips of candidates speaking on a particular issue

• Edit relevant video content for educational purposes - getting your lesson, thesis, or general point across to your audience concisely

The list of possibilities goes on... You can now mold online video to your needs whether for your own viewing or sharing with your friends and peers . Check it out here and let us know what you think.

See example below of a training montage Remash channel a user just created. Cheers.

Pageviews Served Up Hot with a Side o'Tag Cloud - How Searchles Groups Can Benefit Your Targeted Site

Searchles groups are certainly a lovely way to categorize all your favorite links and videos but OH...they can do so much more. Recently Searchles and global communications site Total Telecom paired up to add a user-generated tag cloud to Total Telecom's TME page. The tags are pushed to their page directly from the Telecom group on Searchles and when visitors to Total Telecom click on one of the relevant tags, they are redirected to a co-branded page that displays the search results from the corresponding tag. That being said, the scorecard shows as follows:

* Total Telecom wins because the tag cloud offers additional user-generated content without their users having to leave Total Telecom - also providing additional pageviews upon which to sell their Ad inventory
* Total Telecom users win because they are given user-generated, targeted search results related to the tag from a variety of sources without having to leave Total Telecom.

This application appeals to anyone who may run a targeted or interest-specific website/blog that could benefit a user-generated tag cloud from a corresponding Searchles group. Does a corresponding Searchles group not yet exist? Create your own! You also have the option of privacy functionalities so you can control which content is posted to your group. These safeguards ensure that your targeted advertisements aren't going to be accidentally popping up next to the latest post on Britney Spears' mama-drama...unless you're Perez Hilton. (Please don't say you're Perez Hilton)

Please contact Elias Shams at caveman (at) searchles (dot) com with any questions/inquiries...and obviously have a look at Total Telecom - if not for us, then just because they're mighty good at what they do.

Well *YourUsernameHere*, It's Been a Bit Over a Year Now, and It's Time We Met Your Friends

Time has just flown by, but we've really been through a lot - you know...grown as people. I remember back when I saw you hangin' around with that Digg character and asked you what the chances were of a netsurfer like you and a site like me getting together. You laughed (awkwardly?), but I wore you DOWN - what with my "Don't Tase Me Bro" and "Leave Britney Alone" videos as well as my keen sense of social search and good times...but I digress. Anyway, I thought it was time we maybe started hanging out with your friends** - perhaps invite them by for some posting, sharing, and being merry.

Friends like all those folks you send email forwards to. You could do away with that inbox-filler if you just invited them to Searchles and they could check out what you've been posting.

Click on the "people" page from the homepage and then "invite friends". Or invite friends directly to groups they'd be interested in from that group's page. We care not how you choose to do it. What more? With Searchles groups, you and your group of friends (in the on or off-line world) can create your own group - and use the privacy function if you'd like - to all post to in order to keep tabs on what everyone's been checking out! (Unless you're one of the *special* ones who is ashamed of what you've been looking at online). Searchles...the more the merrier - and a Searchles TV channel below in honor of your friends...may they soon be "our" friends.

**Except the ones you don't like. Ick.

Embed Your Videos With Style: Anyone Can Use Searchles TV on their Blog, Website, or MySpace Profile!

We're pleased as punch to share with you that many of our users - political candidates, serious bloggers, and average-joe-MySpace-users alike - have harnessed the almighty power of Searchles TV. They have embedded their online video compilation in their blogs or websites to present their message in the most efficient way possible. That is exactly why we built Searchles TV for you.

Based on your weekly feedback, we realized the web had become saturated with online video content and that a single video embed is not nearly as effective and/or hugely exciting as being able to package many relevant videos into one player on your blog, webpage, or MySpace profile – it just doesn’t do the job. So, we introduced Searchles TV back in March of this year. As a reminder, Searchles TV allows YOU (and it doesn't require rocket science!) to compile a presentation of ANY videos from sites like YouTube, Google, MySpace, Metacafe, Blip.tv, Liveleak, and CollegeHumor - giving you the freedom add as many videos as you'd like, to order the videos however way you find most compelling, and to get your message across effectively to your web-audience

Have a look at what some users have done:

Politicians – US Presidential candidate: Senator Joe Biden:
Senator Biden's Official New Hampshire Site

Bloggers:
Matt Ortega's Election 08 Blog
Alex Landis' Blog

Myspace users:
Irina's MySpace Profile

The online video explosion these past few years has been innovative and exciting but gone are the days where you are limited to one video at a time - Searchles TV is like putting together a live documented presentation on a particular subject, or maybe just a mash-up of your favorite videos! Either way, the sky is the limit (yes, I went there).

You have MORE FREEDOM than ever to mash-up your ultimate Searchles TV channel and spread it to your blog or vlog audience! Ahhh...sweet freedom.
