OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCING OFFICIAL SEARCHLES TV CONTEST WITH CASH (YES, CASH!) PRIZE

Now that we’ve harnessed everyone’s keen ability to judge others by rolling out the new ratings feature—we’re going to do something constructive with it. We are now announcing the Searchles TV Contest. All you need to do to enter is create your own ‘top gun’ of Searchles TV channels and post the channel to the group Searchles TV Contest. As previously announced, Searchles TV is the feature that allows users to mashup different videos from multiple sources, such as MySpace, YouTube, Google Video, Blip tv or Grouper, into one back-to-back channel. The feature is easily accessible from the homepage and simple instructions are provided if you are new to Searchles TV.

The winningest of all Searchles TV channels posted to the group will ultimately be based on a) the number of ratings and b) average rating the channel is given by other users. The winners will be chosen by July 1st, 2007.

The top prize will consist of anything legal worth four million Guarani (Paraguayan currency…it’s how we do). Second prize is two million Guarani and third prize wins one million Guarani. Either way, you’re rolling in it (Guarani—not to be confused with guano). You can either take the cash we’ve cleverly converted to the dollar or choose to have us buy something of equal or lesser value and ship it your way. So get moving and enter your own channel or start rating the channels in the Searchles TV Contest group just to get your two cents in. Also take note that you can continue adding videos once your channel has been created. We hope to see you and your channel on July 1st! Guarani-city…
